Project Review

During the Project Review for new jobs, Engineering, Quality & Manufacturing work together to design a process, which assures that parts produced will meet the specifications. As needed, the Project Review may be revisited to take cost out, or improve throughput.

First Article Samples

With an order for a new part, we usually provide the customer with a First Article Sample, for approval, before making the production run.

This benefits the Customer, and Zeman Mfg.

• The Customer double checks the design, and approves our workmanship.
• We create an extra moment to refine & define the ideal manufacturing process.

Functional Gaging

We have developed a highly Functional Gaging System, which is used In-Process. It assures adherence to customer specification, and it gives each operator the feedback needed to proceed efficiently, or make adjustment to the process.

This is used along with detailed layouts of first piece, and final inspections.

Shipping / Receiving & the Quality Function

The Shipping & Receiving Department is an important part of our Quality Program.

Receiving

• Material certs & relevant documents are collected & stored in each order's file.
• Counts are taken and material, or outside service, is verified.
• Material is protected & moved to operating area.

Shipping

• Final Inspection is done.
• Counts are verified.
• Appropriate packaging is prepared.
• Process reports collected in order file.
